Two Of Wands
A man dressed in the attire of a lord stands on the walls of his castle, looking down at his vast territory and gazing into the distance towards the ocean.
In his right hand, he holds a sphere similar to a globe, while his left hand rests on a scepter. The scepter on the right side is fastened to the wall with an iron ring. There is a pattern of a white lily and a red rose intersecting on the city wall. The white lily symbolizes pure thoughts, and the red rose symbolizes passion, suggesting that a balance must be struck between the two. At first glance, the Two of Wands and the Three of Wands have quite a few similarities. Both feature the composition of a man gazing towards the ocean in the distance. Moreover, the lord in the Two of Wands and the merchant in the Three of Wands are both successful leaders who possess considerable power. However, please pay attention to the differences in their postures. The merchant in the Three of Wands is looking towards the ships setting sail in the distance. He has just successfully completed a great deal. In contrast, the gaze of the lord in the Two of Wands is much more complex. He appears to be looking down at his impressive territory, and at the same time, he seems to be silently studying the sphere, as if calculating and pondering something. Waite compared him to Alexander the Great—standing at the top of the world, yet inevitably tortured by sorrow.
Three Of Cups
Three women stand closely to one another, forming a circle. They hold up their chalices high and celebrate with each other. On their heads, they all wear wreaths symbolizing a bountiful harvest. Dressed in brightly colored robes, their faces are beaming with happiness. There are vines, gourds, and pumpkins all around. One woman is holding a bunch of grapes in her hand... These plants easily remind people of the harvest season. The three women have different hair colors and eye colors respectively, and their clothes and flower wreaths are also distinct from one another, indicating that they are all independent individuals with unique personalities. However, within this group, they can respect and love each other. The circular formation they make suggests that there is no hierarchy among them. In this joyous occasion, everyone is equal.

Nine Of Swords
In the middle of the night, when she is roused from her dreams, a woman is startled awake and buries her face in her hands. Nine swords are horizontally hung on the wall. They seem to pierce the woman from behind, creating a great sense of oppression. The pattern on the quilt is composed of roses symbolizing passion and astrological signs. On the side of the bed, there is a carved scene depicting one person defeating another.
Ten Of Pentacles
In the close-up of the Ten of Pentacles, there is an elderly man sitting comfortably, with two dogs surrounding him. Outside the archway in the town, there is a young couple who seem to be discussing something, and there is also a child. The ten pentacles are arranged in the symbol of the Tree of Life.
The Ten of Pentacles depicts a family with a solid financial foundation. The characters in the Ten of Pentacles are slightly different from the family of four in the Ten of Cups. In the Ten of Pentacles, we can see the grandfather, the son and his wife (or the daughter and her husband), the grandson, and the beloved dog. Therefore, the Ten of Pentacles represents a more traditional wealthy family compared to the Ten of Cups. It has achieved success in terms of finance, and the significance of tradition and generational inheritance is clearly revealed. It also implies investments such as insurance, antiques, inheritances, etc., which will benefit the next generation. The Ten of Pentacles can also represent successful business partners, or business groups like family enterprises that aim for money and success, or even government institutions. They have a common goal, and emotional communication is not their main focus.
